Make the Library Your Destination Vacation!
Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

The Oakwood Public Library would like to thank all of our patrons for being understanding about our need for opening later than usual on Thursday, July 22. Unfortunately, due to time restraints and an extremely long training session that was required for all library staff to attend, we were unable to open until 3:00p.m. We realize and appreciate how much you value the library and its services and we hope to continue performing exceptionally as a library. With this latest training session, we were introduced to a wonderful and new program that will help encourage young children and teens in their reading, even outside of the Summer Reading programs. While we are still working on perfecting our use of this new material, we hope to show off our new skills as soon as possible. Thank you again for understanding our situation; we appreciate it very much!
Wifi Access
Want to use your personal laptop while visiting the Library? Feel free to come visit us and hook up to our free Wifi connection!
Tired of Tiny Text?
Don't forget that the Library has a large selection of Large Print books, Books on Tapes, and Books on CDs of all genres for all ages.
Online Public Access

The Library has recently added an Online Public Access computer for personal patron usage. If the Library is especially busy or if you would prefer to search for certain materials by yourself, this computer will allow you to do so easily and efficiently. Patrons also have the ability to search for items from our website in the convenience of their own homes. This feature also gives patrons the ability to see if a certain item is located on shelf at any library in the Lincoln Trails System. If you are interested in learning how to work Online Public Access, feel free to ask a worker at the Front Desk.
Volunteers Needed
As many of you know, the Library is preparing for its annual Summer Reading Program. This program keeps staff members very busy and we can certainly use your help if you have time to give. Don't worry about training, we will find a spot that you can fill. Please contact us at 354-4777 for more information.
